Client Background:

The client is a global leader in the engineering, repair, and distribution of aerospace components for business, commercial, and military aviation. They distribute aftermarket aircraft parts from over 3,500 suppliers across six continents, managing more than 150,000 active parts. Additionally, the client serves as the exclusive or preferred distributor for various manufacturers within the aviation industry.

Solution:

Vita Solutions developed data-driven dashboards for monitoring the sales funnel across different geographies and spare parts categories. We also created dashboards for order tracking and supply chain management, enabling sales representatives to provide accurate, real-time information on order statuses at the click of a button. Key performance indicators (KPIs) included Average Sales, Conversion Ratio, and 30-60-90 day moving averages for metrics such as quotes, leads, orders, and order sizes in dollar value. These KPIs were available for analysis by various dimensions, including Date Range, Day of Week, Channel, Business Unit, Region, Product Group, and Comparison Periods (e.g., this month compared to five months ago, and this year compared to last year or two years ago).

Results:

The dashboards enabled the team to identify trends across different geographies, allowing them to adjust the supply chain in response to fluctuations in booked orders for timely fulfillment. Additionally, the dashboards provided senior management with a unified view of global sales and bookings, streamlining reporting and decision-making processes.
